Benton County, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney
Annie Chau has served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Benton County since 2013. She was the Juvenile Drug Court Prosecutor 2016-2020 and has been the Adult Therapeutic Courts Prosecutor since 2024. Benton County is very lucky to have multiple Adult Therapeutic Courts with an infrastructure to rehabilitate as many people as possible, reduce recidivism, and hold people accountable while keeping their community safe. Annie serves as the assigned Prosecutor for Benton County’s Adult Drug Court, Recovery Court, Mental Health Court, and Veteran’s Court. She has observed firsthand the power of correct Risk-Needs-Responsivity and Trauma Informed Supervision, and firmly believes that the criminal justice system can be a positive and pivotal role in changing lives and breaking cycles. Annie has been a WSADCP/WADC Board member since 2025.
